Level 5 Robotics – AuRoCee
A multi-purpose modular STEM kit to learn about Autonomous Robots and its various functions using Embedded C programming language.
Level 5 introduces Autonomous Robots and systems using Embedded C programming language. A new microcontroller board “Uniko Dvi” is given, which is the second board in the Uniko series of programming platforms. Like always, our board offer easy interfacing capabilities and optimum on-board components, with Dvi featuring Accelerometer, LCD, Bluetooth, Buzzer & Ultrasonic sensor.
Embedded C programming is based on C language, but since the code is written for a specific application controlled by an embedded system, its name is derived thereby. Level 5 onward all the levels will be having embedded C programming for all the boards & applications, hence this level is extremely crucial in the course.
“Programming isn’t about what you know; it’s about what you can figure out.”
– Chris Pine
Especially important for beginners. At first, we’re so anxious about knowing everything, especially language syntax. Problem-solving is the skill we end up using most.

Programming type: Embedded C programming language on Arduino programming software
Microcontroller: ATmega32
Board name: Uniko Dvi
Uniko Dvi is the biggest single board in the series with a unique feature of having on-board motor assembly along with multiple other components. This reduces the need of additional chassis part or base board and thereby creates compact design. This is also a new learning factor for all students.
The programming software is well-renowned “Arduino” platform. While the Dvi board is Arduino compatible, we will not be using arduino programming (use of short codes). Rather we will be using the C complier of the same software. The reason we focus on embedded C language is mainly because it is universally used in various industry and it will help build a super strong foundation for all the learners in coding. C language also comes in various academic streams and hence very useful.
All the primary functions such as obstacle avoider, line, edge avoider, wall follower, object follower and others will now be developed using embedded C language. Beyond the primary functions, all the other intelligent applications such as wide angle sensor robot, Bluetooth controlled robot & systems, gesture controlled robot & systems, etc. can also be developed using Uniko Dvi & Arduino software.
To create the applications, all the students learn various coding related concepts which are practically used in the programming process. Loops, conditional statements, bitwise & logical operators, variables datatypes, macros, delays, pulse width modulation, registers, functions etc. will be introduced and applied in the programs/codes.
